    February 14th / HOLIDAY HOUSE PET RESORT’S CANINE VALENTINE’S CELEBRATION

    Puppy Love Party and Fund raiser Will Benefit Bucks County SPCA

    If your Valentine is a canine, then join Holiday House Pet Resort on February 14 for its celebration of Puppy Love. The doggy daycare and lodging facility will be hosting the Valentine’s-themed party for dogs to benefit the homeless pets cared for by the Bucks County SPCA. Owners and veterinarians Laura and Randy Weis are inviting pet parents to pamper their pooches by bringing them to the daycare and lodging facility at 380 North Shady Retreat Road in Doylestown for a daycare party, complete with a puppy kissing booth, paw print valentines and pet photos, heart-shaped “pawty” favors, games, contests, and coffee and refreshments for two-legged guests. All dogs must have advance reservations and complete a pre-screening before attending the party or daycare.

    Dogs without reservations are also invited to drop in on February 14 up until 12 noon to have Valentine’s photos taken for a $5 donation to Bucks County SPCA or to try out the Puppy Kissing Booth for a $1 donation to the animal welfare organization. On February 14, Holiday House will reduce its day care rate from $25 to $15 for a full day of doggy daycare and from $15.50 to $8.00 for a half day, complete with party activities and all the top quality standards canines have come to expect even when it’s not a special occasion – individualized attention, clean, safe and odor-free environment, secure indoor and outdoor play areas, grooming and an attentive staff that makes every day something to bark about.

    March 20th/ Gourmet Getaway

    Whom Gourmet Getaway helps
    Since 1983, Women in Business (WIB) has awarded 90 scholarships to deserving women in Bucks County, totaling more than $241,000. All proceeds from WIB ’s signature event, the Gourmet Getaway, go to the WIB Scholarship Fund. The scholarship fund assists Bucks County women who overcame substantial challenges and wish to re-enter the workforce by educating themselves.
    The Getaway features more than two dozen local purveyors of food and drink, many featuring demonstrations.Dozens of raffles and silent auction items add to the festivities.
    With more than 280 members, WIB is the largest committee in the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce.
