The Blind Gallery

Find window treatments galore.
By Karen Appold

With a combined 26 years in the window treatment industry, Luke Castle and Tony Rey have teamed up to open The Blind Gallery in Wayne on March 1st. The duo worked together previously and with their combined skill sets of managing a showroom, product knowledge and installation, the time was right to fulfill a lifelong dream of having their own business.

Luke brings his customer service background from running a family-operated window treatment showroom in Bucks County as well as his organizational skills from his consulting position at Johnson & Johnson. Tony uses his art school education and artistic creativity to handle even the most difficult installations.

The pair agrees that their top priority is to always put customers first. They have adopted the motto, “Experienced, professional and friendly” to tout just that. “Our philosophy is to make customers, not just make a sale,” Castle says. “We want people to love their purchase and tell everyone.”

“It’s all about making a customer happy with the look they are trying to achieve,” Rey says. “We won’t sacrifice the look of a room to make a big sale.”

Adding window treatments is typically the last element of decorating a room. “They can really tie a room together,” Castle says. “You can make a window the focal point of the room. Plantation shutters look gorgeous on windows in almost any room. It’s like putting fine furniture on your windows, or using a silhouette window shading to soften a room’s look and complement other fabrics or colors in a room.”

The Blind Gallery never charges to measure, install or repair our window treatments—ever. “We will go to a customer’s house and repair or adjust any of our products for free, because that is what keeps our customers our customers,” Castle says. “By being in this business for so many years, our customers know and respect the work we do and our product knowledge.”

The Blind Gallery has something for everyone’s budget. Some very affordable high style treatments include honeycomb pleated shades, wood blinds, roller shades and designer Screen shades. Provenance woven woods (bamboos and grasses) are another option that is easy on the pocketbook.

The showroom is decorated in a ‘feel at home’ setting, so you can get a sense of how certain window treatments will look in your home. That way you can see them, feel them and discover how they work.

The Blind Gallery displays every product that Hunter Douglas offers in its showroom. Hunter Douglas has the industry’s largest collection of energy-efficient, custom-made window treatments. Designed and assembled in the United States and backed by a lifetime guarantee, its sheers, shades, honeycombs, blinds and shutters can be customized with lifting systems for added safety and convenience.

Castle and Rey are at your service to help you select what’s new and trendy, to give your home a modern, updated look. Product lines offered at The Blind Gallery include Hunter Douglas, Norman Shutters, Comfortex, MechoShade Systems and Graber.
