Quilt Competition and Display
On display through Sunday, April 11
Handmade quilts compete for over $1,500 in prizes in eight categories: Traditional, Appliqué, Creative, Traditional Amish, Quilted Clothing, Student, KidsOnly! and “Potluck.” The Potluck Category was added in 2008 for entrants who are not quite sure which category to enter. Judges have the option of judging their entry in the Potluck Category or moving the entry to another category. Be sure to mark your calendar to visit the 2010 Quilt Display. The 2009 22nd Annual Quilt Competition Show featured 50 quilts on display in the Village Gazebo. Admission is free. For more information, call (215) 794-4000.

Earth Day Action

Sunday, April 25 at 1pm
Join Green Lane Park in an effort to improve the Nature Center’s gardens and native habitats. They have gardening, invasive plant removal, spring cleaning and trail maintenance opportunities available for concerned citizens. There is a limited number of tools and work gloves, so be sure to bring these items from home if you have them. Green Lane Park is located at 2144 Snyder Road in Green Lane. The Peddler’s Village 41st Annual Strawberry Festival
Saturday, May 1 and Sunday, May 2 from 10am to 6pm
Welcome Spring with a weekend full of family fun at the 41st Annual Peddler’s Village Strawberry Festival. Taste strawberries prepared in every way possible from chocolate-dipped, smoothies and fritters to shortcakes, pastries and pies. Pick up some fresh berries and jars of preserves to take home. Contestants will compete for the blue ribbon each day at 3 pm on the Main Green in the Strawberry Pie Eating Contests. More than 40 of the region’s finest artisans will exhibit and sell unique handcrafted works on the Street Road Green. Live musical entertainment throughout the Village and creative activities in the children’s crafts areas round out the weekend’s activities. Contemporary Folklore
On display through Sunday, June 13
This exhibition highlights sculptural work that touches upon dominant themes studied within the discipline of folklore. The four exhibiting artists translate stories from mythology, legends and personal experience into three-dimensional form and in doing so, raise questions about how we come to understand our shared history. This show is one of over 90 exhibitions that are part of INDEPENDENCE: The 44th Annual NCECA (National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts) conference taking place in Philadelphia from March 31 to April 3, 2010 hosted by The Clay Studio. Historical Society of Hilltown Township 3rd Annual Fall Festival and Open House

September 18, 2010, 10-3, rain or shine

Tour the Hartzel-Strassburger Homestead, circa 1847 at 407 Keystone Drive and Bethlehem Pike, Sellersville, Hilltown Township.
