Driving to Skippack Village, located on Route 73 in Montgomery County, you’ll notice how the scenery quickly changes, shifting from strip malls and housing developments to sprawling countryside dotted with houses. Yes, development has reached this corner of the county, but the village itself remains untouched by chain stores and fast food restaurants. From unique shops nestled in historic buildings to a variety of restaurants with cuisines to fit every mood, you’ll find them all here.

George Washington led the Continental Army through Skippack during the Revolutionary War on horseback and by foot. In the early 20th Century, visitors arrived in Skippack by trolley or carriage. Today, it’s just a car ride away. Avoid overwhelming holiday crowds at the mall and the same tired gifts this season, and visit Skippack Village and rediscover how joy filled a shopping experience can be.
