34th Bucks County Designer House & Gardens
More than 50 interior designers and landscapers will transform the 1850s Victorian home, 1960s stone-and-stucco farmhouse, gingerbread cottage, guest house, carriage shed, greenhouse, three-story stone barn and grounds of this 20-acre property at the foot of Solebury Mountain into a charming country setting through May 31st for the 34th
Bucks County Designer House & Gardens.
Visitors will begin their tour by strolling through a tranquil garden of raised beds blooming with thousands of daffodils, a koi pond and canvas-covered gazebo atop a stone and brick sitting area. Gardens range from practical outdoor rooms with living and cooking areas, to themed-gardens such as a fanciful “Alice in Wonderland” garden around the cottage and interactive gardens where visitors may play bocce or practice their putting skills. Located next to the carriage shed, the greenhouse will explode with a variety of orchids. Those seeking relaxation will enjoy many water features located throughout the property.
The project benefits Doylestown Hospital and select V.I.A. community causes. A major portion of the profits is dedicated to the completion of the organization’s $500,000 pledge toward construction and expansion of a new state-of-the-art Emergency Department at the Doylestown Hospital.
