CB Cares Celebrity Chef & Waiter Gala 2009 promises to be an absolute epicurean extravaganza for those who attend. Local seasonal ingredients will influence each chef’s creation and then will be wine-paired prior to the gala, insuring the best of the spring season.  Here’s who will be headlining in the kitchen:

Chef Barry Sexton

Opinionate PalateChef Barry Sexton is chef and owner of the Opinionated Palate, a full-service catering company known for its customized menus that instill memorable occasions for his clients.  Chef Sexton’s exceptional reputation as a premiere chef and caterer has catapulted his career to new heights. His expansive career has allowed him to work with talented chefs from the Food Network such as Tyler Florence, Guy Fietti and Duff Goldman a.k.a. the Ace of Cakes. Chef Sexton will orchestrate the hors d’oeuvres for the evening’s meet & greet VIP cocktail reception. No autographs…please!

1st Course
Chef Keith Blalock
PA Soup & Seafood House

Keith Blalock is chef and proprietor of Pennsylvania Soup & Seafood House, located at the Main Street Market Place in the heart of the Doylestown Borough. Blalock, better known as the “Soup Guy,” offers diners a casual well-appointed setting to enjoy a comforting selection of soups, hearty lunches and dinners. The PA Soup & Seafood House is BYOB and makes for the perfect date spot before a movie or an escape from your own kitchen during the week. Chef Blalock will be creating delectable soup for the menu’s first course with seasonal local ingredients.

Chef Joe McAtee
Honey Restaurant

Chef Joe McAtee is the bee’s knees of chef and restaurateurs, and along with his wife Amy, this dine-namic duo serves up an ever-changing, seasonally influenced menu in their ultra stylish dining room at Honey in Doylestown. “It’s a love fest” can often be heard during service as Amy takes plates from the kitchen to eagerly awaiting guests. On May 31st you will feel the love as Chef McAtee’s talent will dominate the evening’s second course of the menu and will be crafted from the freshest bounty of the spring season.

Chef Brian Duffy
Corporate Executive Chef
Kildare’s

“I remember the first time I put my Chef’s jacket on, that was it for me, I was hooked for life.” Since then, the hard working, down-to-earth Duffy has dedicated his life to creating fabulous food. When he’s not in the kitchen or perusing the dining rooms of Kildare’s, he teaches cooking classes, makes public appearances and volunteers his time at local shelters and kitchens. Chef Duffy was recently anointed by the Today Show as the Irish Cook-off Champion and also makes regular appearances on NBC’s The 10! Show.  Duffy will infuse his mantra “Your mood is your food” into the evening’s entrée. Local flavors and foodstuffs will influence this creation—the travel time from the farm to your table will be mere minutes. Now that’s a fresh idea that leaves a good taste in your mouth.
