Unveiling of Logan Inn Portrait
Friday, April 24th from 5 to 9 P.M.
Pete and Nick Gialias, owners of the Logan Inn, Howard Cooperman owner, Bucks County Gallery of Fine art and Bucks County artist Dot Bunn will be hosting a reception and cocktail party celebrating the unveiling of a portrait depicting the Logan Inn. Howard Cooperman, owner of the Bucks County Gallery is celebrating his 29th year helping people who suffer from “bare wall syndrome.” The gallery is located at 77 W. Bridge Street in New Hope. 28th Annual Shad Festival
Saturday, April 25th from 12:30 to 5:30 P.M.
Join Lambertville in their award-winning street festival, featuring over 80 of the area’s finest artists and crafters. Enjoy signature dishes from local restaurants with everything from shad to taco salads, and a chance to learn how to cook shad roe from one of the area’s finest chefs. Live musical performances will be rocking the streets of Lambertville with blues, jazz and rock. Bring the whole family for face painting, sand art, caricatures and carriage rides. Pulp Function
April through Sunday, June 28th
“Pulp Function,” at the James A. Michener Art Museum’s Fred Beans Gallery in Doylestown, includes more than 70 works using handmade paper pulp, recycled paper, paper cuts, cardboard, papier-mâché and folded paper. For decades, innovative artists have been manipulating paper products as a means of creative expression. Contemporary artists have pushed the possibilities of this malleable material even further. Tactile and familiar paper innovatively used include industrial strapping, paperback books, egg crates, trading cards, US dollar bills, diapers, NYC transit maps, photographs and much more. The 3-D objects in this exhibition range from jewelry and clothing, furniture and lighting, to vessels and purely whimsical sculptural pieces and everything imaginable in between. Spring Gala: Wild About Flowers

Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve’s Spring Garden Gala, “Wild About Flowers,” celebrates the sixth year of this unique fundraiser and the 75th anniversary of the Preserve’s founding. The Peddler’s Village 22nd Annual Quilt Competition and Display

From a “mad scientist” parody and an Asian print to a feline fantasy and a necktie patchwork—diverse designs and intricate details highlight the creations on display at the Peddler’s Village 22nd Annual Quilt Competition & Display. Rural Life in 1900: “Made in Montgomery”

Experience first-hand what farm and rural life was like one hundred years ago. Spring cleaning, washing and garden activities kept everyone busy. See the 4H Dairy group as they show their calves and goats as well as the 4H Bee Keepers who talk about the importance of bees to spring crops on the farm. Meet the local farmers who grow much of the produce found at the farm stands in Montgomery County. At their Farmer’s Market, you will see “Made in Montgomery County” products and taste the difference of locally grown foods.
