Admiral Kitchens: Shows us who they are and what they can do
By Alina Makhnovetsky
Ken Staiger is addicted to the euphoric feeling of watching the face of his clients light up with anticipation upon viewing the kitchen designs, and or the blueprints for larger renovations, and the work he and his team are about to implement. For Staiger, his wife Renee and son Jack (both play a vital part in the business); there isn’t a better high than seeing a client’s dream come true. In turn, the family has watched their company blossom and now is situated in a 10,000 square foot showroom which features Admiral Kitchens, Admiral Design Carpet One, and Admiral Funding group. The separate entities that unite Bob Trofa, owner of Admiral Design Carpet One, and Ken Staiger deliver a one stop shopping experience for renovation, design and financing—under the same happy roof.
The kitchen department for this building has been around for decades and when 3 years ago the opportunity came, Staiger bought it, adding an in house funding group in a crafty effort that merged his financial background as well as created adjacent financial help for his customers. The development was especially beneficial in today’s economically trying times.
Admiral Kitchens has a highly motivated team of 15 with over 150 years of combined experience which translates into an easy transition into a new beautiful kitchen. Staiger and Trofa back up everything they sell, and in fact every flooring installation form carpet to vinyl
It’s not uncommon for Staiger to send up to seven experts over to a potential job, all without a contract signed or any promise of a retainer—a feat high end kitchen companies in the area, let alone Home Depot or Lowe’s, would dare undertake. And although the name obviously suggests stellar custom work on kitchens, Staiger says, “There is nothing that you need, that we can’t do, we can build you a home.”
In fact, Admiral Kitchens, Admiral Design, Ken Staiger and Bob Trofa have previously not only built a home, they have built over 20 homes. Among these, they received two extraordinary awards for their work. One was on a 10,000 square foot historical Victorian Bank Barn, which was converted into a residential home. The other, was renovation of a burned out home in Merion Station. For Staiger, however, there is no job that is too large or too trivial. “From a multi property, multi state, million dollar purchase of a note on behalf of Staiger’s client, refinance your house, change your faucet, build you a custom kitchen, or build you a home,” confirms Staiger.
For Francine Pacifico of Pacifico Ford dealerships and valet services, Staiger and his team built what she describes as an “absolutely magnificent” kitchen. Pacifico spent years deliberating over whether or not to renovate the kitchen in her Villanova home, but when she came across an Admiral Kitchens ad, in it she spotted her dream kitchen—this was the straw that broke the camels back and Pacifico, on a whim or random luck, called Admiral Kitchens. The next day, Staiger sent his entourage of a team and by Saturday, to Pacifico’s own shock, contractors showed up to demolish her old cabinets and begin anew with an added bonus of raising her kitchen ceiling 13 inches, and then replicating its design—a task Pacifico says was completed with unmitigated effort and pure genius. “They just over extended themselves with everything and all was done to accommodate me and work around my schedule,” enthusiastically chirps Pacifico. For example, the company sets up a temporary sink and counter tops for each client, while remodeling a kitchen for that added and necessary relieve of living through the renovation process. The obviously sincere Pacifico says although she went on pure intuition instead of recommendations, her kitchen came out as an exact replica of the “dream kitchen” depicted in the ad.
Staiger, on the other hand, works on pure confidence he will be able to deliver. For him the best part of the job is that excitement. For his clients, it’s the joy of seeing a promise carried out and a blueprint come alive in their home.
